Minute Media and FanDuel announce the expansion of their long-standing partnership –  bringing together authentic, editorial content alongside expert-led video and audio programming for the ever growing segment of fantasy sports and betting fanatic

Since partnering with Minute Media in 2018 to create The Duel, a digital platform focused on fantasy sports and sports betting news and information powered by Voltax, Minute Media’s proprietary publishing platform, FanDuel has seen tremendous growth and value. The Duel has garnered more than 33M unique users, with 2021 being on pace to be the most engaged year yet (7.8M in 2021 so far, 13.5M in 2019, 11.6 in 2020). The site has also seen SEO traffic grow by 62% YoY.

When it comes to pieces of content on The Duel, Minute Media’s platform has already generated more than 9,000 articles in 2021, which will far outperform previous years at the current pace (10K in 2019 and 2020). FanDuel has generated almost 560M video views for content distributed through the Minute Media Network and The Duel since late 2018.

Through Minute Media, and the technology, content and services offered by Minute Media’s proprietary publishing platform, Voltax –  including a robust CMS and online video platform as well as audience growth and engagement tools – readers of The Duel have bet more than $10M on FanDuel since 2020 (and through the pandemic) across SBK and DFS.

The success of this long-standing partnership is a perfect proof point that the intersection of content and technology is becoming the cornerstone for business growth within the digital media space. .
