The deal kicked off with Cannes organizers commissioning a team of Fiverr Pro freelancers to develop and execute creative on-site during the five-day festival.
The Fiverr team worked on a new online hub for the organization called The Work — developed in partnership with Publicis Groupe — that features all Cannes Lions winning work since 2001.
The new alliance seeks to elevate the visibility of freelance talent within the creative process. There are even rumors that event organizers may introduce a special Lions honoring freelancer work to underscore their often unacknowledged role in many large-scale projects.
“Some of our biggest clients are partner agencies,” says Fiverr’s Chris Lane. “We live in a cloud creative world and it’s time to raise the profile of how our workers are contributing to the process every day.”
